    Dawn, your creation is beautiful! I love the background fabric too. I am working on my entry which is entitled “Peace & Plenty,” based on the traditional quilt block pattern but treating it in a modern way). I have dedicated it to Rotary International’s new LearnGrow.org program, which is focused on a world free of chronic malnutrition and disease, especially for mothers and children. It is based on a simple and sustainable solution to global malnutrition to help the hungry feed themselves, using education about native local plants and crops. I’m using interlocking circle motifs for my handquilting to represent that sustainability aspect and “the circle of life.” Hoping to get it completed this weekend! Photos coming soon…
